Amarillo is of a freelance design and therefore he does not resemble a specific prototype. He shares the same design as Huey, albeit with a different cowcatcher design.

Livery[]

Amarillo is painted yellow ("amarillo" being the Spanish word for yellow, hence his name) with a large dark yellow stripe on his boiler, gray wheels, and dark yellow nameplates.

Like Huey, Roja, Azul, and Senior Chugga Amarillo originated from Dora the Explorer.
- Much like Huey and Roja, he was originally nameless in the episode he appeared in.
He, along with Roja, is the most recent addition to the Fantasyland and Fairytale Railway Traction Company Limited.
- Hence, his number being 29, as he is the 29th character to be introduced in the company.
